Health Promotion and Education - West Neighbourhood House

Our Health Promotion and Education program provides educational and health related activities/services that promote wellness for older adults.

All activities/classes are free. To participate, you must register with the Older Adult Centre. Please call Seniors Intake at 416-532-7586, ext. 146 to sign up.

Essential Information

What we offer:

We host activities that provide health and wellness opportunities as well as public education about seniors health and the aging process to caregivers, students and volunteers.

Older adults (55 years of age or over)

Online via Messenger Chat Rooms/Facebook. In-person.

We are currently offering the following  programs each week —

Monday at 11:00am: Functional FITNESS with Michelle on Zoom
Monday and Thursday at 2:00pm: ZUMBA with Lena on Zoom
Tuesday at 11:00am: Chair YOGA with Pedro on Zoom
Tuesday at 2:00pm: Stretch and Strengthen with Lorne on Zoom
Wednesday and Friday at 11:00am: Gentle FITNESS with George on Zoom
Wednesday at 2:00pm: English Social with WALLC Staff on Zoom
Thursday at 11:00am – Art Studio with Tanya on Zoom

All activities take place at our 248 Ossington Avenue location. We are currently offering the following activities —

Tuesday and Thursday at 10am-4pm: Drop-in Come in to take part in activities and socialize
Tuesday at 11am-12pm: Chair Yoga
Tuesday at 2-3pm: Social Media Club
Wednesday at 1-2pm: Sewing Class
Wednesday at 2-3pm: Chair Yoga
Thursday at 2-3pm: Zumba
Thursday at 1:30-3pm: Vietnamese Social
Friday at 2pm (Bi-weekly): Cooking
Friday at 2pm (Bi-weekly): Danceability
3rd Friday of the Month at 1:30-3pm: Birthday Party
Saturday at 10:30-11:30am: Chair Yoga
Saturday at 11:30am-3pm: Portuguese Women 55+ Social
